By becoming a member of the San Francisco bay area chapter of the Autism Society you also join the Autism Society of America which provides a strong lobby for people with autism.

ISER describes itself as: a nationwide directory of professionals, organizations, and schools that serve the learning disabilities and special education communities. It is basically a yellow pages for special education services.

An excellent source of information on resources, and help in general. This organization offers a very thorough website, parent support groups, and classes. Best of all, their website has a search function!
